After reading through several reports and investigations, We observed several points that contributed to the cause of the accident. Firstly, there were clear precursors that were certainly not acted upon. Multiple Air Connaissance (AD) experienced directed examinations and maintenance targeting specific sections of the airplane, although had not viewed the airplane as a whole. FAA AD 872121-08 mandated inspection of lap splices for fuselage stringer 4. This AD would not recognize the chance of failing to mandate examinations of all clapboard splices, and later mandated examinations of the noted unsafe condition. There was a top accumulation of flight cycles between strength inspections than previously expected by Boeing when the B-737 Maintenance Preparing Document was launched. Aloha air carriers Boeing 737 aircraft flight 243 had 89, 680 flight cycles and a 35, 496 of air travel hours which usually meant that there was frequent cabin pressurization due to the high number of short operating flights.
